Paragary’s is a lively neighborhood restaurant with modern California flair, located in the heart of Midtown, Sacramento. The menu and bar program are dictated by the seasonal bounty of the Sacramento region. Originally established in 1983, the restaurant underwent an extensive remodel in 2015, combining both modern and traditional elements to create a relaxed, timeless environment that lets the food and drinks take center stage. Great food, excellent service, pleasant surroundings: that's pretty much all I want in a restaurant. Last night's smoked-trout appetizer was a huge hit; the same for the squash-and-speck pizza. Oh, and a VERY interesting wine list with plenty of good value. We tried a South African Chenin Blanc and loved it.

Paragary’s just isn’t as good as it used to be years ago. Quality of food, service, and ambience has gone downhill steadily in the last few years. This used to be our special occasion restaurant, but the last few times we’ve gone, we have been disappointed and we will reconsider where to spend our special evenings

Sorry but noise level too much and so dark we used flashlights to read the menu. Dishes were uninspired and bland with very limited options. Server was great even though she was running to get her tables covered. No longer a first choice option fo us.

Good variety of dining choices, all of which were very tasty and disappeared quickly! Service on a busy holiday evening was wonderfully orchestrated, making it altogether pleasant!

We love Paragary's. It feels like a neighborhood restaurant in San Francisco or New York. Service is always top notch and we love the food. The hand cut Pappardelle with chicken is always delicious. The mushroom salad is also very tasty. Our friend loved his pizza and it looked really good. We were too full for much dessert but shared the cranberry/blueberry sorbet, which was good and refreshing. My French Martini was perfect.

Paragary's has been a family tradition for special occasions (as well as casual dining) because of their excellence for decades. Tonight was my father's 96th birthday, the first birthday without the 'love of his life' (mom, married almost 70 years passed in June). We went to celebrate both his birth and the many treasured times we shared. Our server was as sweet as can be, knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. Our food was outstanding and dad's special birthday desert delicious. We will continue to share our special times at Paragary's.

Most excellent! Thinking about going back there again tonight! Thoroughly enjoyed our food, the service and reasonably priced bottles of wine! in the courtyard outback is so gorgeous to look at from the dining room.
