   Great food and service at prices to be expected at a top restaurant. I highly recommend the Peninsula Grill. PS Be sure to try the coconut cake. It is unforgettable!

   Normally it’s excellent but..food suffered this time. The rack of lamb was over cooked for medium. The tile fish special was good , not great, and should be. The sauce was thin and lacked flavor The service was excellent. The wine list lacked wines by the glass and the usual massive offerings . Whe I asked a wine question regarding more wines I should have been directed to the somlier..! The value for the money is usually excellent,not this time. We’ve been celebrating special events there for 10 years as local residents and before that for close to 15 years.

   Kaj was amazing and will always request her in the future. Bradley was great in the bar as well. Definitely had a wonderful experience!

   If a restaurant wants to char a steak as cooking method, they should notify you in advance or emphasize it when ordering. Everyone does not enjoy a burnt meat flavor and a tough texture as a result, and it was unexpected! The Caesar salad did not resemble the original enough to be recognizable.

   Definitely a great place for a date and the food is very good. Lawrence was our waiter and he was excellent… attentive but not intrusive. Oysters were lovely and the she crab soup was outstanding.

   As always, food and service were superb. Oyster appetizers, entrees and coconut cake. Will be back whenever in Charleston.

   A friend recommended that we go here for dessert and a night cap. I made a reservation in the bar since we were just going for dessert. When we got there, the hostess seemed very annoyed that we were only there for dessert even though it was 9pm and the dining room and bar were basically deserted. It’s not like we were taking up room from someone wanting a full dinner. We were told that if we wanted just dessert, we could always go to the place next door. We had wanted to experience the atmosphere of the Peninsula Grill with a nice dessert, not the basic spin-off next door. We considered dining here in the future but after the reception we got I think we will look elsewhere.

    First visit to Penisula Grill. I had dinner with 6 other colleagues. Everything was delicious. The steak, short rib, and scallops were outstanding. We finished the meal with incredible desserts. Dana was our server, and he did an outstanding job Would highly recommend this establishment.
