Best Wineries in River North (Chicago)

We tried this restaurant last night and had the best time. The food was amazing, but what was really amazing was our server Rene and the staff. The staff was so on top of it, and the food came out so fast. It was our friend's birthday, and we were trying to surprise her. We had ordered a cake but needed to figure out a way to get it there without her noticing. When my other friend called the restaurant, they were able to hold the cake for us in the morning and then bring it to the table as a surprise. Rene was already informed by staff, so when we arrived, he was already in on the plan. At the end of dinner, the cake was brought out, and it was such a nice surprise. Special thanks to Rene and the staff at Quartino—you are all amazing.

This was our fist time dining at The Hawksmoore. Our server guided us in making the perfect choices for our table of 2 couples. We each ordered our steak of preference and added the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach. Appetizers she recommended were scallops-delicious! and shrimp which I would skip as they were hard to peel. Everything was excellent and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Sticky toffee pudding and maple pie will make us go back!

we went to celebrate our anniversary and valentine’s day, and it was an incredible experience. our waiter was hilarious and attentive, we were gifted glasses of prosecco in celebration as well. the ambience was incredible and the food was delicious, we’re already planning on coming back !!

So sad the restaurant is closing, our last meal was wonderful. Flavorful drinks and tasty tapas. We got the Pan de Cristal, steak skewers, iberico albondigas, tortilla, and chicken croquettes.

Everything was amazing! The wines were perfectly paired. It was communal seating which turned out to be very fun meeting new people. It was reasonably priced.
