República is a tasting menu-only restaurant. We offer a full tasting menu experience for $150 per person, or a briefer experience for $128 per person. Kachka features an award-winning menu of post-soviet inspired dishes including famous dishes such as the Herring under a fur coat, Rabbit in a clay pot, dumplings and much more.     None of the party had been here before, selected due to location was close to an event we were attending. We all found it a pleasant experience. The food was good, service was fairly attentive, it was quiet and looked nice, plus of course, for us the location was great. Would eat here again.

    We attended a wine tasting event for the wines of Georgia (the country in the Caucasus, not the state in the US). We enjoyed sampling the wines which were intriguingly different than our usual California and Oregon vintages. We bought a couple of bottles to take home (plus stocking up on Kachka's delicious pelmeni). The wine importer who was hosting the event was a pleasure to talk to; friendly and knowledgeable. The Kachka staff were, as they always are in my experience, courteous and efficient. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience and a good value as well.
