Best Restaurants with Bar Seating in Forest Park

It’s our favorite restaurant. Let’s start with that! Wonderful food and service. It’s very pricey $100-150 a head and up. But we know that going in and we splurge when we are in Chicago downtown.

It was a delightful discovery! The ambiance was warm and cozy, with an impressive buzz of people passing through, talking, and socializing—yet we still enjoyed our privacy at a corner table. The red wine was excellent, the beef tartare (always my go-to choice when available) was fresh and flavorful, the truffle fries were perfectly crispy without being overpowering, the beetroot salad was refreshing, and the mushroom pizza was simply delicious. I must also highlight the dessert and the tiramisu martini—they were the perfect start and finish to our meal. We had a fantastic time and will jump at the first opportunity to return. A special shoutout to the kind and attentive manager Michel and our wonderful server, Tina, whose attentiveness made the experience even more memorable.

You can't go wrong at Avec. I have eaten here a dozen times and have never had bad service or something I didn't enjoy eating. Ever. It is all top-notch. The wine program is genius. There is something new and exciting to try from all over Europe. You can trust that what is offered has been well thought out and works with the food overall.

We had the pu pu platter plus some sides, everything was really nice plated and yummy, my favorite thing forever is the curry. The holiday drinks were really cute and i also like that they have zero proof drinks that are delicious and also come in a cool glass.

The food was delicious, and I appreciated the opportunity to choose a keto friendly dish. The keto bowl is quite tasty, and very unique! It’s nice that there are a variety of proteins available for this dish. I do wish there were more keto friendly options, but having this one is definitely a plus. Our server, Robert, was, as always, very attentive and quite friendly. Unfortunately, because of the rain, we had to dine indoors, which can be very loud. I love the patio area, though. Overall, I would label this a neighborhood gem!
