Best Lunch Restaurants in Buellton

We tried Norman with friends of ours. We were seated in a cute corner booth and were immediately asked if we needed anything while settling in. We started with cocktails, french fries and cornbread. All perfect and delicious. I have to say that the home made ranch dressing served with the fries was the best I had ever had-and I’m not a ranch dressing lover, but this was terrific. Being Tuesday, we ordered the tacos, each of us ordering a different kind so we could taste all three variations. Another ordered a hamburger. The fish tacos were the hands down favorite. The hamburger was also delicious. We finished with the cookie caramel ice cream dessert. Served hot in a tiny cast iron skillet, fantastic to share. We loved everything about our time at the Norman. I recommend it to everyone looking for a cool retro experience. Lots of fun-definitely go!

As always, another great experience! Food was amazing as per usual. Joy is the best. Great moody soundtrack and cozy energy. We brought some friends from out of town, and they thoroughly enjoyed everything. Wine pairings were requested and suggestions were spot on. Prix fixe menu is a fantastic value. Highly recommend, we will be back soon.

I've been eating at the Buellton Hitching Post for over 30 years and can't remember a bad meal, plate, or drink. This is a special restaurant that never lost its soul. It's not about plating, or stuffiness or a 50 page wine list. JJ the wine buyer puts together a great list that goes from great local BTG specials to a cellar that sports 1962 Lafite. Bring your friends and trust the 'Post' to exceed your expectations. Don't sleep on the duck, the mushrooms, the pork chop, and of course the steaks are fire--my choice is the filet.

Best spicy basil margarita! Excellent tequila selection, and wines from Santa Ynez, and other regions. I loved the spicy shrimp. My friends enjoyed their chicken as well as the mushroom stuffed appetizer. The restaurant has a fun vibe with hip interior, and wonderful hospitality!

We always enjoy dining here…it’s our favorite spot to eat in Los Olivos. Five stars in all categories!
