Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Palatine

I’d been looking forward to having a dinner here. I got a flyer promoting a 3 course meal for seniors at a fixed price. I got some of my friends together and we all wanted to try it. Some had the filet, one the salmon and 1 the pork chop. We all enjoyed our entrees, and the sides. One filet was too salty but they replaced it right away. Two had the creamy spinach, they were both cold but again taken care of right away. We had a round table near the entrance of the kitchen which was very noisy and there was not a lot of lighting. We all had to use our phone lights to read the menu. All in all we all enjoyed our dinners and would try it again.

The owner made a point of saying hello to everyone at the table. The staff was fast and courteous. The food was great. I will be back.

Good food and friendly, excellent service. Very pleasant dining room with wall to wall windows and a big fireplace. Onion soup and soup of the day tasty and served hot. Fresh salads. My wedge salad was good but overdressed. I will ask for dressing on the side next time. Lamb lollipops meaty and well prepared, an especially good value I thought. My companions ordered ribs. We were there on a week night and it was quiet, can't say about the noise levels when the restaurant is full.

Fantastic experience our first time here. Went for our anniversary. Service was impeccable. She really knew the dishes and helped us make decisions. Food was outstanding.

Had a small group for dinner and the service was terrific at the bar and again at the table. Menu is diverse and each person found something they liked. Food was very tasty and overall the Schaumburg Public House delivered a nice evening.
