Italian for 'kisses and hugs', baci&abbracci's Neapolitan-style pizzas and "fresh", "homey" dishes merit the trip on the L. The white-washed walls of this modern Williamsburg trattoria boasts a small bar, while the sun-kissed garden is an "enticing escape." Neighborhood folk love the bread, mozzarella and pasta which are made fresh daily. Your first order of business: Ordering a Peroni or glass of Italian wine. Then dig into belly-warming dishes like calamari, red beet and goat cheese gnocchi, and wood-fired pizzas (Time Out New York's Best New Pizza Joint 2007) . Finish off with the torta della nonna, with custardy sabayon, chocolate cream piping, and crushed, toasted pistachios. As delicious as the food, is the "exceedingly friendly" staff. Our dining experience at this charming restaurant was nothing short of delightful. The rich history of the establishment added a unique and inviting atmosphere, complemented by its cozy ambiance. The drink menu was exceptional, featuring standout options like the Paper Plane, which is a personal favorite and is listed as one of their signature cocktails. The Spicy Margarita was equally impressive, offering a perfect balance of heat and flavor. To start, the pear salad was a refreshing and flavorful choice, setting the tone for the meal. However, the true highlight of the evening was the pot pie. The crust was impeccably flaky and golden, while the filling was rich, savory, and utterly satisfying. The service was both friendly and efficient, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. This restaurant is a gem, and we highly recommend it for anyone seeking a memorable meal in a warm and historic setting.

I just celebrated my birthday with friends at Pera Soho. 1- They were super clear on communication and provided answers to every question I had while booking. 2- The entire staff is very sweet and accomodating. Our waiter (why the hell did I not get his name - he was a younger, Latino gentleman) is doing his job with love or at least that's how he shows it. Despite the 20% tip being automatically added due to large group size, he kept going above and beyond. Normally when the tip is included in the bill, you don't get this level of service at other restaurants! 3- The food was DELICIOUS! 4- The venue has a very beautiful setting. It easily accomodates larger groups and yet still has a cozy enough vibe for a romantic dinner too. The outdoor patio looked very nice, though buried under snow when we went. I definitely wanna come back for the patio once the weather is nicer.

Came for a restaurant week, food had an average flavour profile very heavy on carbs and fats. Gnocchi and arancini were basically in the same sauce. Bread pudding was not to my liking - too soggy and bland.
