Best Restaurants for Quiet Conversation in Boston/New England

The dishes for Dine Out Boston were interesting and very well prepared. I especially liked eating things I would never take the time to cook at home.

Great kababs, perfect freshly baked bread, and nice ambiance! The quality and flavor is consistently great.

We had a lovely experience at Limani. There are few restaurants these days where you can have a quiet conversation with friends over delicious food. The ambiance was terrific. We were seated at a spacious round table that made it easy to hear each other. We had oysters as an appetizer as well as their mushrooms. Both were great to share over cocktails. Two of us had the grilled lamb, one of us had the lobster with linguini, and the final diner had the dorado fish. All were cooked perfectly. We shared one dessert. While the restaurant is a bit pricey, it is well worth it for the quiet and beautiful atmosphere and wonderful food. I recommend it highly!

Excellent place to have lunch or dinner. With great service and good food. On the pricer side.

Our server was particularly good: helpful, efficient, friendly, but not intrusive. We had a pleasant dinner and did not feel rushed.
