Located in the heart of Gramercy in the restored Assembly Hall of the landmarked United Charities Building, Hawksmoor is a steak restaurant that celebrates all-natural, pasture-reared, and traditionally dry-aged beef. Our beef is seasoned simply with sea salt and cooked over live-fire charcoal. Our seafood is locally and sustainably sourced from northeastern waters and we use small-farm produce whenever possible. Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boom­box, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry.     I wanted try the burger for a while. I was told they did not have it cause the oven was down. So they could not bake the bread. A few minutes after I was told that a man sitting 2 tables down was served the burger. Not sure why that happened. I later seen the post okay. instagram. I been wanting to go to hawksmoor for some time Now to try the burger. But they did not make it for me. Overall eveything else was amazing.

    This was our 18th wedding anniversary & chose to celebrate it somewhere new. The ambiance was amazing. Our server was very attentive & the service was amazing. Everything came out right on time which was greatly appreciated. We had chicken & vegetable spring rolls which were amazing. My husband ordered sweet & sour chicken which he loved & I ordered beef & broccoli which was good but I felt the beef was a lil chewy. My drink Mai Tai wasn’t that good but the mistaken drink Brooklyn was amazing. We will be back again in the future to try some other food.
