Best Pre-Theater Restaurants in East New York

The perfect pre-theatre dinner spot! The staff are highly attuned to the need to get to the show on time! But of course the food and service were top notch! We got there while happy hour for oysters was still going on at 1.50 each and they were fantastic. Each entree was phenomenal: duck, lamb tagine, steak frites, branzino, couscous. I’ll be back!!

We went following a Saturday matinee. Perfect atmosphere for us. Felt low key, comfortable and like a genuine neighborhood place. Food and service were both excellent. Menu is well rounded and offers choices for everyone. Don’t think twice.

We arrived early however they seated us right away and sat us on the second floor as requested. The waitress was very friendly and was able to answer all our questions and make suggestions. The food courses were perfectly timed and met our expectations. Delicious. If you have room for desert I would recommend the cheesecake. Overall a fun, relaxing experience before the theater.

Our group enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service at this restaurant. I give extra points to the staff, who were very attentive at the door, at the table, and at the bar as we ordered takeout for our colleagues who could not make the lunch meeting. Thank you!

Food was quite wonderful, surprisingly so for a venue close to theater. A little noisier than I would have liked but to be proximate to our show (7 PM curtain) made it a worthwhile trade-off. Would absolutely return, my new "go to" restaurant for theater evenings.
