Since I was 13 years old, I've been in the restaurant industry. I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value.     My son and his girlfriend had 7pm reservations, his mother and I 9pm, the day after Valentine’s to avoid the madness, good choice, we had a wonderful greeting by the Waite staff and were seated immediately, our waiter was Lenz , he informed us of all the specials, and we ordered, everything was spot on, I had Lobster Bisque and Berkshire pork chops, my wife had a Pasta dish, we enjoyed everything, especially seeing the kids there and the waiter complementing how nice they were, we have been there before and will be back

    This was not our first visit to Mythos. They were busy but it took a good 10-15 minutes for someone to come by to take our drink order. Additionally, the wait staff does not tell you about off menu offerings unless you specifically ask. The food has always been great but the service, although friendly and polite, needs some polish.
