- PPatrickWashington, D.C. Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAnimae for Valentine’s Day was a worthwhile epicurean adventure. Highest recommendation. Was it on the expensive side? Yes. One of the most expensive steaks I’ve ever eaten. Worth it. As the server said…decadent and unctuous. And the bonchon was perfect. Would have preferred to sit next to my date instead of across from, but I totally get it. Only so many tables and so much space. Our server was attentive, engaging, just the right amount of funny, and enhanced the experience. Every plate surpassed expectations by the 4oz A5 Miyazaki steak and deconstructed tuna crudo were my favorites.More infoAnimaePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Asian• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.7
- JJeanaSan Diego •13 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe have been going to King's Fish House for years. It is our go to place for fish that is always fresh and prepared well. Today I was there with an old friend for lunch--we specifically chose Kings because it is quiet enough to talk and we never feel like we are being rushed. There is a large parking lot and it is free. There is a large seafood selection including really good sushi rolls. (There are also some good non-fish options as well.) One of my favorite items is the trout almondine which comes with 2 sides. It is also possible to request that the fish and chips be done with panko crumbs instead of the beer batter--which is much lighter but still delicious. We shared the bread pudding for dessert which was plenty for 2 people.More infoKing's Fish House - Mission ValleyPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Mission Valley•4.6
