Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in Highland Park

Really excellent food. We had the 16oz ribeye steak and the Chilean Sea Bass. Both were full of amazing flavors and did not disappoint! I've just returned from Las Vegas where I ate at the Golden Steer and Peter Lugers steakhouses...this was right up there with them! Really great food if you don't mind the price. It's not cheap.

Initial inspection was pleasant. When you enter the restaurant, you'll see it's well appointed with mostly natural materials (namely stone walls, funky glass vases, and a very pretty open kitchen). The service was attentive, but not overbearing. The only low was the filet tenderloin. While the sauce was delicious, and the visual was amazing, the meat itself didn't quite make the mark. Otherwise, the appetizers and desert were all amazing and performed. In the end, I would highly recommend this as a great fine-ish (not quite casual, not quite fine dining) dining experience.

Only problem we had was the bar was backed up. We got our first round of drinks right away. We wanted our next round with supper and we were done for 10 minutes before they showed, the manager took care of it and all was good. It was Valentins so it was busy. It’s a lovely experience! The high ceilings Make it a little noisy but the ambiance and the food make up for that.
