We got to dinner early (after the Cal game), so we had drinks in their bar, which is adjacent to the restaurant. What a highlight-drinks were spectacular and old school while still being hip and cool. This is a great place for all ages in a stunning location. You really feel a part of the local history. Dinner—OUTSTANDING. All of our orders were different and really a fulfilling experience. The beauty of the building and its facilities makes this space unique, but really the team there, from the bartenders, to the host to the serving staff in the restaurant, are so professional and focused on hospitality—-something that is harder and harder to experience. We will be making this a regular part of our visits to Berkeley.More infoJulia's RestaurantPrice: Expensive• French• Berkeley•4.8

The pizza is better than anything we have in Marin and it’s worth the trip, the hospitality makes it even better. The cozy corner booth with a view of the bar and fire and the kitchen? What more could you want? This place is perfect. We love it. There’s nowhere else we’d rather have a pizza party.More infothree.one four pizzeriaPrice: Expensive• Pizzeria• Berkeley•4.5
- MMarkSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoJohn’s Grill is one of my most favorite restaurants in SF. The staff are efficient and friendly. The ambiance is great, and I enjoy taking first-timers to this gem. The food is great, and my favorite is Jack LaLanne seafood salad with a glass of Chardonnay. Steaks and pasta dishes are great too! Make a toast or two to Hammett, Bogart, Astor, Greenstreet etc. Save a bit of time to check out The Maltese Falcon and other film noir items upstairs. Enjoy the day!More infoHistoric John's GrillPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Union Square•4.7
- AAmySan Francisco Bay Area •8 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoOutstanding service, delicious cuisine and comfortable setting. Every bite was a delight. There were flashing lights in the street due to an emergency vehicle and for half our meal we had to deal with this on our faces since we were seated at a window. No fault of the restaurant but it would have been nice to be offered a different table.More infoZINOPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Berkeley•4.2
