- AAraPhiladelphia County •30 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoExcept for the coffee we had with the dessert, our dinner experience couldn’t have been better. We were seated exactly on time on a Saturday night for 745pm. Restaurant was crowded with several patrons waiting to be seated. The standard bread and garlic oil was fresh, warm and sharp with flavor. We requested seconds! Our waitress Donnatella I think was her name?… did everything perfectly. Gave us enough time to order appetizers and entrees and dessert and checked in on us regularly: For apps we had crab stuffed pretzel and roasted Brussels sprouts. Both had their own unique flavors, with perfectly seasoned crab stuffed in the soft and warm soft pretzel to the crispy bacon crumbles sprinkled on the moist, flavorful yet semi crisp Brussel sprouts. Both apps were drizzled with a spicy mayo type of sauce. I ordered the traditional veal parmigiana. The pasta cooked aldente and the veal was freshly fried and crispy on the outside while juicy and flavorful on the inside. She had a grilled chicken with vegetables type of entree, which had a little spice to it. Not sure the name but she enjoyed it. She’s trying to eat more healthy and all the vegetables certainly was on the healthy side. We ordered the traditional cannoli which was sweet and fresh and had perfect texture of crunch and cream. When ordering coffee I asked if it was fresh? Our fabulous waitress said she could check and said it was brewed about 30mins ago? We said OK to the coffee, but it was not good. My recommendation to the restaurant: improve your coffee! (Waitress ‘comped’ the coffee since we didn’t enjoy it) Aside from the coffee, we aren’t sure why we haven’t eaten here before. It’s casual yet the dishes are far above the typical. It’s not expensive yet the menu has something for everyone. We will absolutely come back and dine again, and furthermore, request our fabulous waitress Donatella again! Highly recommended restaurant.More infoValle Cucina ItalianaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Wilmington•4.8
