Best Seasonal Restaurants in Downtown Tucson

The first thing you can't help to notice is the amazing remodeling that's taken place. The room has a great ambience & tasteful decor. New menus & a few intriguing new entrees. We split a generous amount of mussels as a shared app. Perfectly cleaned & cooked, a generous portion. They were cooked with sausage & seasoned with a zip. Crostini served for dipping. Gnocchi were new on the menu & they were quickly devoured. I asked the server if they'd make up a sandwich that's on lunch menu only. It's a simple turkey melt. Sounds pretty ordinary I admit but these folks serve one up so deliciously tender & juicy served with parmesian fries, yum. It would be nice at some point to have someone knowledable about wines to help develop more depth to their current selections & take on more substantial wines. But the quality of the food more than makes up for my spoiled wine habit. I've been going to Napa annually for about 50 years now, eating at some places with friends more than some of the locals. Food & service here, worth repeating.

This was our second visit to Tito and Pep. It was our anniversary and we wanted to enjoy a special dinner at a place we normally don't travel to since we live on the other side of Tucson. We first visited Tito and Pep for our son's birthday and had a wonderful memory of that experience. This visit did not disappoint! Even with a 5:30 reservation, the place was quite busy when we walked in. We were greeted promptly and congratulated on our anniversary (a nice touch). We were taken to a nice corner two top which gave us a great view of the entire restaurant. The only issue with this table was it's location directly under an AC vent. Our server was very friendly and professional greeting us warmly. Cocktails and wine ( surprised to see a Portuguese wine on the menu which is not common in Tucson) were great. We ordered one of the special appetizers - a wonderfully prepared yellow tail in a citrus broth surrounded by thinly shaved cucumber, radish and a hint of jalapeno. It was refreshing delicious. We also shared the octopus appetizer, as we did on our last visit. T&P does octopus really well as it is easy to overcook it rendering it tough to chew. Our entrees were excellent! My wife had the Salmon and I had the mesquite grilled pork chop served with sweet potato . Both dishes were excellent. We were looking forward to this night and T&P did not disappoint. This is a very popular place as evidenced by the crowd on a Monday night. Definitely worth a visit. The only negative I have is that the parking situation can be challenging given the location on Speedway which is a very busy and densely packed road. T&P is a Tucson standout and deserves to be supported by the community.

Good food in a comfortable setting along with a very nice service team.

On the menu you can request the restaurant to make a random 5 course meal. They were kind and asked if I had food allergies before starting. Everything for me came out delicious and the staff did a great job explaining what was brought out to me. My server was great on checking on me and asking for feedback on the food. I had a great solo dining experience.

Excellent service and delicious food. The outdoor patio area with the fireplaces is lovely and it's easy to hear your dining companions. Highly recommend. Our server was particularly kind and attentive.
