The ambiance at Avec is both cozy and lively, characterized by its cedar-wrapped walls. The communal seating fosters a convivial dining experience. The meal started with fried kale served alongside creamy hummus, creating a satisfying contrast of textures. The chorizo-stuffed, bacon-wrapped dates lived up to their reputation—smoky, savory, and slightly sweet, making them an absolute must-try. Pairing these starters with the Black & Yellow cocktail was a great choice, as its balanced flavors complemented the richness of the dishes. The calamari was another highlight—perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful.

The array of nightly specials was truly amazing. The cuisine, as well as its presentation, was impeccable. The service a delicate perfection. It has become our fave Chicago restaurant for fine dining.

Had a wonderful time eating dinner here. Would highly recommend coming here if you are in the area.

Food was good overall! We enjoyed the our burrata appetizer and the pasta was FRESH! So tasty! My friend’s food was lukewarm though which is why I scored lower on food. The ambience was not as described, the music was very club vibes, no R&B or Italian vibes.
