Happy Out is adding another string to its bow and taking on the Dublin brunch scene. At the weekend there will be an adventurous brunch menu with a variety of coffees and brewing methods to explore. During the week, we will be giving the people what the want; coffee, toasties and a full breakfast menu.There are seats in the middle around the open kitchen so you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of everything going on. Down the back there is a bright mezzanine area with a skylight and then we have some outdoor table in our lovely sun trap out the back.This brick and mortar style cafe is the love child of one of the owners, Brian. Taking inspiration from his travels around the world and his family kitchen. The breakfast tacos from his trips around Central/South America, The Levain flatbread from his sourdough starter and soufflé pancakes from eating his way around Japan.

Beautiful coffee, toasties and brunch with an incredible view! There are limited indoor seats available to book but we have blankets available for all our outdoor seating to keep you nice and cosy. For the next few months we will only be taking bookings for our Indoor seats as the weather is a little too unpredictable for the next couple of months. The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer.
