Outstanding service, good food, thoughtful menu, very beautiful ambience. When making a reservation, request a table by the river or even a table in the pergola over the river, the best place in the restaurant. Don’t miss eating here when you are in PV. Very nice for lunch in hot afternoons too, since it’s shady and cool on Cuale River island.

La Palapa is hands-down our favorite dining spot in Puerto Vallarta. Absolutely the best sushi in Puerto Vallarta, rivals even my favorite high-end sushi restaurants in New York City and London and San Francisco, at a fraction of those prices! Yes, it is expensive for here, but it’s the real deal and so fresh and so many wonderful options to add on– amazing bartender, and mixologist kind service all around excellent experience.
