Best Japanese Restaurants in Corona del Mar

Chris was our person that prepared the meal. Great presentation and cooked the food with a flair and excellence of of a fine chef! Great service and attentiveness to detail of making the customer happy. Two thumbs up to Benihana’s.

I arranged a birthday lunch for my friend who drive down from LA. We sat at a lovely table on the deck overlooking the water and boats. We order the oysters with shallots which were chilled and delicious. Then we split two sushi rolls and the fish tacos (3 in a plate with black beans) . Our waitress was delightful and everyone from the hostess to the busboys were terrific! I think it was worth every penny and I’ll be back again and again. It’s a favorite of mine and I’ve been coming for over 40 years!! 🍣🐬😄💕

The food and service are amazing! The best part of our visits to Roku at Fashion Island is the welcome we receive from Juney the Manager. He makes one feel that he’s welcoming guests to his home with a warm greeting and a friendly chat. He’s always appreciative that we have come to Roku and makes one feel as if we’re part of his family. An amazing guy! His staff speak so highly of him and it’s clear that he’s created a great workplace environment to work. I recommend that when you’re in Newport Beach you visit Roku and see and taste for yourself!

Wonderful "Happy Hour" with a wide variety of choices at discounted prices. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back.

I will start by saying I was worried the food would not live up to my expectations, however that was not a problem at all. Some of the freshest and best executed dishes I have had. The prices add up quick, but once we were done with the meal it was worth every penny. Favorite dishes included: yellowtail jalapeño, chilean sea bass, ribeye with truffle butter and the mango kakigori shaved iced is a must. The tuna tacos were small but good as well. Server was very attentive without being pushy which was appreciated since we were there closing on a Sunday night. Will definitely visit again when in the Newport area.
