The experience surpassed my expectations, every dish was delicious with a bit of spice but not to overwhelm. My dinner companion does not eat meat and our waiter suggested the Dan Dan noodles without pork and it was a home run, she's currently looking up a recipe online to attempt it at home lol. She had the prawn dry pot as well and we both did the happy dance when tasted. I was not disappointed with my duck entree that came with buns, duck was cook to perfection and the sauce was perfect for that meal. We split the coconut cotta dessert, different for us but a welcomed change, tasty yet light. We will definitely return with others to experience Shan. Thank you for the good food and service!More infoShan SzechuanPrice: Moderate• Sichuan• Cobble Hill•4.8

- MMondayNew York City •12 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 4, 2025I always love bringing people who've never visited the Tin Building to this restaurant, and with out of town guests timed with Restaurant Week offering a 3-course dinner for $45, it was a no brainer. Amongst the various restaurants in the Tin Buillding, this is my favorite for its speakeasy vibe, parading unsuspecting people through the markets and into the Asian area to walk past the velvet curtains to unveil a bustling Chinese restaurant ala Jean George that whiffs a bit of an opium den -- always offers a wow factor. The food is really delicious and great combination of authentic flavors and French sensibility. My only complaint is that many of the dishes are ultra spicy particularly from the szechuan peppercorn which elicits a slow burn and interferes with the taste buds for those who enjoys wine with their meal. Otherwise 100%!More infoThe House of the Red Pearl at Tin Building by Jean-GeorgesPrice: Expensive• Chinese• Financial District•4.8
- MMatthewAtlanta •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 27, 2025I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Win Son! I booked a reservation for a party of 14 on a Monday, and both Scott, the manager, and Darlene, the guest experience manager, made the entire process seamless. This dinner was especially important as it was a client business dinner for us, and I’m thrilled to say our clients had an amazing time. The food was exceptional, and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be back!More infoWin SonPrice: Very Expensive• Taiwanese• Williamsburg•4.9
