- AAndrewSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined todayFourth time eating here and another outstanding meal. Restaurant and bar was packed on a wet Friday night and full of energy. All dishes (steak, chicken and moussaka) were excellent. Creative cocktail selections.More infoMykonos MezePrice: Moderate• Greek• Burlingame•4.7
- BbrittavipSan Francisco Bay Area •16 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI used to love this place, then I moved abroad for 20 years, but went here again, and it is just as good as I remember!! grilled perfection! the dining room is cozy and warm, the booth seats comfortable. our server was the best - attentive but not intrusive - he really did an outstanding job (don't recall his name but has worked there 9 years and has 2 little kids, brown hair with some facial hair - shout out to him - he did a great job!) appetizers arrived lightning fast - aubergine and warm pita, grilled stuffed calamari(YUM), lamb meatballs (nomnomnom), baked gigante beans. mains were lamb skewers (yum) and branzino(5star), which was insanely delish and highly recommended. dessert was baklava, which I don't normally love, but theirs was sooo good and spicy, I highly recommend, and we got an ice cream sundae which was enormous and tasty. im so pleased Kokkari is still around and better than ever. great meal - thanks to the entire team!! can't wait to go back !!More infoKokkari EstiatorioPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.9
- MMarkSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoThe food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the outstanding jazz trio of Mikel Bee (drummer), pianist, and bassist—excellent taste in the standards, solid rhythms, and savvy voicings. The filet minion souvlaki was delicious. Another nice touch was the tasty hot roll with olive oil while waiting for our order. We did not have a drink since we had to work tomorrow morning, but the bar appeared well-stocked, and the drinks looked attractive. We'll return, especially for the music offered on Monday nights (5-9 pm). It is about time that San Carlos had some hip live music happening again.More infoElia - San CarlosPrice: Expensive• Greek• San Carlos•4.7
- NNamrataSan Francisco Bay Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI hadn’t been to Evvia in years and it was so great to go back. My friend and I shared a bunch of appetizers: meatballs, octopus, roasted beets and the butternut squash. The octopus was fantastic as were the meatballs. We each had a glass of wine and the whole meal was $100. Will definitely do that again.More infoEvviaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Palo Alto•4.8
- DDanielvipSan Francisco Bay Area •129 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 9, 2024Dinner was a mixture. My Keftedes Saltsa, three ground lamb and beef meatballs in a tomato sauce topped with yogurt was delicious. The other diners had the Avgolemono soup which they said was quite tasty. My entree, Beef Souvlaki, two skewers of marinated tenderloin, though a bit salty, was indeed tender, very flavorful, and cooked to a medium rare, as requested. The only disappointment was the Moussaka, a baked casserole of roasted eggplant, zucchini, potatoes and béchamel sauce with rice, and thus is a vegetarian version of the classical dish made with ground beef. Fine for vegetarians, but it was not memorable. Wish that they would make the traditional dish. Service was excellent. Corkage is $25.00.More infoPYLOS - San CarlosPrice: Moderate• Greek• San Carlos•4.5
