Best Modern Australian Restaurants in Blackmans Bay

We thoroughly enjoyed brunch at Robbie Browns today. The food was ready in a reasonable time, and it was fresh and delicious. The staff were wonderful and they delivered friendly customer service. We will be back soon.

Fantastic meal. Wonderful flavours and presentation. We each ordered our own meals and didn’t do the share plates except for one side dish and the bread. The meal size was perfect. Desserts were wonderful too. Before dining we tasted wines at the bar, so we’re able to choose the wines we wanted. The tasting were complementary since we were dining. I thought the meal was very good value too, considering we had wine, bread, mains, desserts and tea & coffee. Would definitely go again if I lived in Hobart

The food was amazing. Service wasn’t the best. They set us at the wrong table for our set menu Valentine’s Day dinner. We ended up seated in the middle of the restaurant and was basically ignored after they sat us down. Finally got their attention and lots of apologies about seating us in the wrong area. They quickly moved us to the correct table in a more secluded part of the restaurant but then took forever to bring out drinks and didn’t really ask for any additional drinks order. We had the seafood platter and it was incredible so no faulting the quality of the food. I’m not sure it the correct ambience for what they are trying to achieve with the decor. It looks like a place where it would be great for a date night but I would say it is not. More of a hotel restaurant eatery vibe, if you are seated in the main restaurant, tables are close together so you are right next to the people next to you and it’s noisy. I’d go back for a business lunch type meal but probably not for another date night. Considering they had taken the trouble of doing a special menu for Valentine’s Day, I think the lack of attention to detail let the whole experience down.
