We were a little surprised at the portion sizes of the pasta dishes. I’m not saying they should serve an entire family but they seemed a little skimpy. The branzino was delicious. I’ve been to Frisco, Ruth Chris’, Flemmings, and non chain steakhouses and 801 is superior in every way, from the service (complimentary valet and coat check), pacing, friendly formality, and most of all the salads, steaks, and desserts. (For seafood, stick to the lobster or pan roast). Full bar is excellent- order whatever you want, not just what’s listed on the menu. My only criticism is that I much prefer booths, and lots of the restaurant is tables. We came back for a family celebration but have sat at bar and outside before and each time the food was so fresh, so delicious and so fun french!! They really deliver top dishes and service every time and in such a beautifully designed space. The food was outstanding and the service by Callie exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s so rare to find someone who is friendly, accommodating of allergies and a time constraint yet manages to make you feel like a valued guest. Our dinner started with the chicken parm pizza for the table, little gem caesar, then dover sole, lasagna and filet mignon meatballs.
