Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in Highland Heights

We got drinks before dinner at the bar. I recommend The Red Stilleto. We ordered all appetizers instead of entrees. The large seafood tower was good. Shrimp cocktail, with large shrimp, raw oysters, raw tuna, Cajun scallops. Then we got the charcuterie board. Sopressetta, cheeses, olives, two dips, we got oysters Rockefeller, lump crab cakes and fried calamari. They have baby chibatta breads with butter. Our waiter was awesome. Shout out to Nicholas! Was an awesome date night. The piano was a nice addition to the ambiance. Low lighting, quiet, elegant. My husband wore black slacks and a cable knit sweater, I wore a sweater dress with boots. Loved it. Will be back.

Food and service outstanding. Calamari appetizer fabulous and more than enough for two people. We shared the sushi grade seared tuna entree and grilled asparagus. Some nice wine complemented our meal, wonderful evening.

Delicious! We dined on Valentine’s Day weekend. Had reservations, had to wait a tad bit for table. Just enough time to order a drink and our table was ready. Our server was Awesome!! She was very courteous and accommodating! The food was delicious! I had the chicken special and the red pepper sauce was creamy goodness. My husband had his usual-chicken Parmesan-huge portion. Our friends-one hit the veal special which we all tasted and it did not disappoint. The other had the mussels and zucchini appetizers for her entree. Very hearty portions and flavorful! The homemade Focaccia bread was addicting! A tad loud since we were seated by entrance but was still able to carry a conversation.

David was an excellent server. He was personable and enjoyable to interact with. They were very busy so we had to wait a little longer to order and get our check. He gave us complimentary coffees for the wait. The food is always excellent and the menu has a wide range of prices. We had the Spicy Lobster Tots and split the Chop Chop salad. Both were excellent. My wife had the Cedar Plank salmon and I had the braised short ribs. Both were delicious. The atmosphere is high quality and comfortable. This has been one of our favorite restaurants for many years.

The food was amazing! The donut holes were great without the extra sides of jelly and chocolate. It was a fun, low-key place to celebrate a birthday. I'm glad we made the reservation and not just showed up. I highly recommend it.
