Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in Friendswood

Never Disappointed!!! We decided to do Valentines after the fact. We went to Perry's in Webster and once again they knocked it out of the park. Luis has been our server the last couple of visits and he's wonderful. Let's get to the meat and potatoes (literally) of it all. My husband and I got the pork chop and au gratin potatoes with a wedge salad on 3 course Sunday Supper menu. We got the pork chops coffee crusted and added a little melted butter. This was a flavor explosion in your mouth. It was juicy and cooked to perfection. The apple sauce that is served with the pork chop really makes your taste buds dance. The au gratin potatoes weren't there just for the show. They were a main character in the show. The potatoes were tender and buttery and cheesy with parsley sprinkled on top which added pop to the palate. I topped that wonderful, perfect , amazing meal off with an Old Fashioned using Wooford Reserve Bourbon 😋.

Food is always outstanding, including service. This is the second time we were seated upstairs. For me, timing was off both times. We waited a long time to get both appetizers. Our waiter came by and questioned why we hadn't had our appetizers yet. They were soon delivered. Then our entrees were there as we were finishing the appetizers. Food wasn't as hot as it usually is, but flavors are outstanding. Going forward, I will insist on sitting on the 1st floor main dining. Things flow better, and we don't feel rushed. It's a place we frequent, and we love the ambiance.

We were here for Valentine's Day and we got a reserve table at a high top which was a little too close for comfort. So we asked if we could get a different table and the manager was very accommodating and moved us right away to a little four top out of the way. The food was great and the service was great. The bourbon flights that they offer of are an excellent value.Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be back.

Excellent food and outstanding service. The experience never disappoints. Repeat diner and definitely will return again. The only negative is not anything to do with the attentive staff, the terrific food, or the ambience, but the parking. There is only one entrance driveway off the street and beyond the few parking spaces in the front there is a single narrow lane running alongside the wall of the building for customers arriving or exiting, made more restrictive by having valet service take up more than half of the limited parking spaces. There is an establishment immediately next door with a parking area exponentially larger than the restaurant that was almost entirely empty, Definitely suggest working out something with them.

Uchi is our special occasion dinner or date night. We love the variety of options (plenty of vegetarian options) and service is always top notch. I like to come during happy hour so that I can order from both happy hour and dinner menu. Linda is my favorite server! She makes really great recommendations and we always have the best dining experience with Linda. Will see you again soon!
