The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. From the beautiful setting to a great server and service, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to celebrate a special moment. I appreciate that they acknowledged it was for my anniversary with my partner and, throughout the night, tried their best to make it memorable. I will return.

Another outstanding dinner at Portofino’s. The meatballs are to die for. The Salmon special, chicken francaise and eggplant parm were exceptional. The most consistent food of any Italian restaurant in this area. The service is excellent and you are never rushed. As close to eating at home with family as you will get in a restaurant.
