The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. Delicious homemade desserts complete the menus, which are revised several times a year.     As I had requested a table next to the fireplace was waiting for us. They are no longer a byob but the drink selections were excellent. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Food was amazing! It was nice and quiet so we could talk and actually hear each other lol. A wonderful place that we will frequent!

    Used to come here when we lived locally. What a treat to be back. Food was delicious- had the angel hair Mediterranean and linguine with white clam sauce. Very large portion for lunch. Service was attentive. Love it.

    We always enjoy Mezza, and we have brought many people here who also love it. The food is always innovative, excellent, and well presented. The chef and servers are able to work with you to adapt many dishes to meet specific dietary needs. BYOB and there is a wine/beer/liquor store a couple minutes' walk away in the same shopping plaza. Very attractive decor and comfortable. Plenty of free parking. Today we had hummus, tzatziki, lamb shank, whole grilled branzino, and gelato. All excellent. Highly recommended.
