Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Kapalua

Our dinner at Sea House was delicious! This is our third time dining there and it did not disappoint. We asked to be seated at a table near the window and were able to watch the sunset. We ordered the early bird specials and both the filet mignon and the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi were to die for. The service was a little slow, but our waitress was friendly and the food and view made up for it. Already looking forward to visiting again next year!

Sansei is our go-to sushi restaurant on Maui. Fish is super fresh. Amazing original dishes including the panko ahi roll and shrimp dynamite are musts! Daily sushi specials as well as daily sushi is A+.

We enjoy coming back when we visit Maui. The food is great, the location and the view are amazing and the service is always top shelf. This time, we split a salad and I had the Hawaiian Short Rib and my wife enjoyed “The Catch of the Day” Special. Both were excellent. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake for dessert topped off the meal in style. Our server was friendly and personable. She shared her story about running marathons which was very impressive. Al in all, we can’t wait to return.

We had a fabulous time and the food was fantastic! Our waiter Tad was knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. The beet salad is delicious! We had the special fish which was moist, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was a preparation I wouldn’t normally choose, but I’m trying to eat healthier and normally lentils with vegetables wouldn’t be my “go to”, but this was so flavorful and satisfying. We also had the ribeye special with the herbed butter. Again, a dish cooked perfectly with wonderful flavors. The mashed potatoes were the best I have ever enjoyed! Noah, checked in on us and our meal and was quite engaging and very fun. We enjoyed our meal and the beautiful ambiance of Traverna. It’s not to be missed when on Maui and we will be back soon!
