Best English Restaurants in Aylesbury

Always a good dining experience at Roys. It's usually quiet enough so you can enjoy a conversation without having to raise your voice. Food is of a high quality with good options for everyone. Desserts are great too and service is polite and reasonably quick. Highly recomendded.

The 2nd time I have eaten here and I think that it was even better if that's possible. The attention to detail and culinary masterpieces produced were truly excellent. I wish you every success in your next venture and hope that I can find you to enjoy your superb food once again. Thank you

Great food in a lovely pub. Service was a little sporadic given it was relatively quiet

Today was my mate John's birthday. I had arranged a birthday lunch for my mate John at The White Oak at Cookham. It's part of the Brucan Group. Me and my partner had eaten at their Finchampstead pub The Greyhound on several occasions so I guess I knew roughly what to expect. We started by sharing 6 oysters. Delicious. John had the grilled mackerel on squid Bolognese with samphire. Spot on. I had the steak tartare. Delightful. We both went for the braised beef shoulder on mustard mash. Cabbage seriously good. Absolutely delicious. They kindly presented John with a happy birthday plate of chocolate brownie or sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. Made John smile. Food was lovely but service was a little slow, however they were very busy. Good value for money with friendly staff so would certainly go again
