Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores; although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name, it also has a very British name - John Dory. Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ and as Smith is the most common name in English, we decided it sits well with our ethos - we want to be accessible to all.Setting us apart from the rest is our commitment to working with local fishmongers who run out to the coast each evening to collect day-boat fish and local ingredients. This means that everything on our menu is fresh, sustainably sourced, and supports the local economy.Our chef Ollie Bass believes in creating dishes that are not only delicious but also ethical and responsible.A perfect spot with Eventim Apollo, The Lyric & Riverside studios only 5-10 minutes walk, dine in with us to feel like you're at the coast in the heart of Hammersmith
Claude Bosi’s Oyster Bar stands proudly in the ground floor space of Michelin House, furnished with unique mosaic flooring, and fascinating wall tiles steeped in history.Shellfish and seafood is the main highlight of the menu, but there are many other dishes to choose from too.Sharing platters, family-style feasts and relaxed dining options are what we do best. We have space to dine inside and outside. Our outside tables are situated both ‘streetside’ at the front of the building, and also within our semi-open patio. All tables are on a first-come-first-served basis only.Children of all ages are welcome. Please let us know if you need a highchair and/or space at the table for a pram.
