Best French Restaurants in Childs Hill

Delicious food but waited 35 minutes before the first course was served, and everything thereafter was hurried so that I could make it to the theatre before the play started. I actually had to bring to the attention of the waitstaff that my food had not been served. I wonder how long it would have been if I had said nothing.

I’m a fan. Lunch. Pre-theater. Post-theater. Expertly prepared and fresh raw bar (no bits of shell floating in oysters). I’ve done beef all ways and it’s delish, from the tartare to the entrecotè to a burger that is top 3 in my London Burger Quest. My wife is a pescatarian and is thumbs up all the way. The vibe is always on, the service is spot-on, and this is my go-to if I’m overwhelmed st finding the “new thing” in London. Sometimes the familiar can be your routine extraordinary, and that’s a good thing. And did I say the prices were reasonable by London or New York standards?

Went for a date, both going for vegetarian options. Menu might seem a little restricted as mostly salads, saying that, everything was delicious. Wide variety of tasty cocktails, the surrounding and staff hospitality very much make it worth going. Would recommend!

Pre theatre dinner - seated in the ‘front’ room which had a lovely relaxed ambience. It’s really fun to watch all the denizens of Soho walking past! Theatre menu was ridiculously good value at £25 per person with the quality (and quantity!) of food being excellent. Slight confusion with the wine that was handled very well by the manager. Highly recommended.

Another wonderful outing to Prix Fixe Soho. Lovely staff, very accommodating and friendly. The tables quite tightly packed together. The menu for Valentine’s Day was restricted but there was a good range to choose from. All the the servings were delicious and beautifully presented. The wait time once ordered was excellent. The wine was excellent All at very good value for such good quality service and food. Thank you.
