The Grape Variety is a neighbourhood, independent wine bar, shop and restaurant, selling great wines and food from around the world, located just 2 minutes from Chipstead Railway Station.We opened in the spring of 2018 with the aim that a wine bar should cater not just to experts, but to all, so we created one where our guests could unwind at the end of the day with a great wine in a warm, friendly and genuine environment, whilst getting sound advice about which wines to enjoy, as well as to take away.For food, we offer quality artisan cheese and charcuterie, alongside dishes such as baked Camembert, bakery sausage rolls, hot chorizo and potato, hummus with a spicy sauce, Spanish pâté and the like. Dans le passé, Josef Sheekey faisait les marchés avec son stand de fruits de mer avant d'ouvrir un bar à huîtres sur St Martin's Court en 1896. Le restaurant a été rénové en 1998 pour renouer avec son glorieux passé, ses quatre chambres communicantes décorées avec des portraits originaux d'acteurs du 20ème siècle qui reflètent son rôle central dans le monde du théâtre. We had a fun Friday night evening at Wine and Love. We had a delicious bottle of Montepulciano and the tiramisu was out of this world.
