Best Brunch Restaurants in Mendota Heights

The cocktails & food were even better than I remember. HIGHLY recommend this place.

Initial inspection was pleasant. When you enter the restaurant, you'll see it's well appointed with mostly natural materials (namely stone walls, funky glass vases, and a very pretty open kitchen). The service was attentive, but not overbearing. The only low was the filet tenderloin. While the sauce was delicious, and the visual was amazing, the meat itself didn't quite make the mark. Otherwise, the appetizers and desert were all amazing and performed. In the end, I would highly recommend this as a great fine-ish (not quite casual, not quite fine dining) dining experience.

Boca Chica has been a tradition for our family every Valentine’s Day 8 years running. My parents used to come here in the late 60’s, early 70’s when it was just a small handful of tables. It’s been a hallmark in our family for over a half century. I eat Taco house for lunch many times a month…..probably more than I should admit. Best refried beans in town imo.

We enjoy coming to Mallards to eat whether with friends or date night. We haven't been disappointed yet. The pecan crusted Walleye is my husbands favorite and a must keep on the menu. Thank you for the awesome service and wonderful meal!!

Only problem we had was the bar was backed up. We got our first round of drinks right away. We wanted our next round with supper and we were done for 10 minutes before they showed, the manager took care of it and all was good. It was Valentins so it was busy.
