- DDavidManchester/Greater Manchester •6 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoFirst time at the Black Bull. At first look, you might think the prices were a little high for gastropub food. Fear not, when the food arrives you realise the quality of the food is on another level. Had a steak and ale pot pie and if its not the best pie I've ever eaten its definitely in the top 3. My Mother had the chicken supreme which was presented beautifully and apparently was excellent. The pub itself is lovely, lighting prefect, service exceptional. There was a fine dining event on later in the evening and was set up in the dining room which is also very tastefully done. With the masterchef winning chef in the kitchen I expected it to be good but it exceeded my expectations.More infoThe Black BullPrice: Moderate• British• Blackburn•4.6
