- CCraigLos Angeles •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was our first time to see a performance of the LA OPERA. I wanted to have dinner before the performance and felt that something at the Music Center itself would be best because of the traffic. Good call. Viewing the menu in advance of our evening, it seemed good but frankly, I had only moderate expectations. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! We started dinner out with a shared Caesar Salad which was excellent and the bread was fantastic. For dinner, my wife had the Steak Frites and I had the Brick1/2 Chicken. They were both superb. Our server was extremely polite and attentive. The noise level was low. You can talk and actually hear what the other person is saying. This is going to be our new go-to restaurant prior to attending performances.More infoKendall's BrasseriePrice: Expensive• French• Downtown•4

The lavender earl grey tea is really fantastic.More infoL’APPARTPrice: Moderate• Contemporary French• Downtown•4.5

Black sesame Parker house rolls with butter and house cured ikura were so good! Abalone and shrimp pot pie was very good, and Koji-roasted chicken was juicy and wonderful. - AArnoldvipLos Angeles •7 reviews4.0Dined on Nov 9, 2024This restaurant is a perfect choice for a memorable date night. While not inexpensive, it delivers exceptional value with outstanding cuisine. The limited menu showcases each dish beautifully, and our indulgence in caviar was a true highlight—served with all the classic accompaniments in an elegant presentation. The ambience is both stylish and refined, and the service strikes a great balance: attentive and friendly without being overbearing. It is not the sort of place for a casual dinner or a spontaneous drop-in, but it is ideal for special occasions, especially for married couples with kids looking to celebrate. Highly recommended for a treat-worthy evening out.More infoPuzzlePrice: Very Expensive• French• West Hollywood•4.2
