Best Steakhouses in Kinnelon

I thoroughly enjoyed the diverse food options and the reasonable prices. However, I was disappointed with the second-floor dining room. It was extremely cold, almost like an unventilated attic. I would definitely return if they could accommodate me on the first floor. 5-Stars if you’re not dining on the second floor when it’s below 40 degrees outside.

Great restaurant and we are loyal Ruth Chris Customers but they were not ready for the Valentine’s Day rush. Waited over 45 minutes for table. Drinks took another 45 minutes to get and steak was not cooked to right temperature.

I had heard about Rails from numerous people who have always raved about it. So, I was very excited in anticipation. The restaurant is beautiful right alongside the Towaco Railroad Station. Plenty of help valet parking but a bit of a walk to get inside. The ambiance is nice with an extensive top notch wine list. But our waitress was not as knowledgeable about the menus that might have been a good opportunity for an upsell for our order. And it was kind of hard to get over that my guest’s lobster tail arrived raw. In sending it back when I asked the waitress about it she said oh! I didn’t talk to them, they’re very busy with it being the holiday. . . Not a very good first impression. Not even an apology. I would go back though. And I understand you can take a tour and go through the secret door to the bar in the cellar. The menu is a la carte which make it seem expensive, but the prices are actually quite reasonable.

Our server, Yanet, remembered my sister and I from our last visit which was almost a year ago. She is so sweet and went out of her way to find the wine we wanted. The food was amazing as always, we had petite filets cooked to perfection, creamed spinach, and chipotle macaroni and cheese. We shared the gooey brownie and it was so delicious. We’ll be back for sure!

Had a great overall experience at this occasion - even though the time of my reservation was during a slow period (weekday afternoon).
