L'histoire légendaire du Diorio Restaurant a commencé au début des années 1920. L'ancien Rocco Diorio proposait une nourriture traditionnelle et de nombreux souvenirs durables pour la plupart des personnes dans les environs de Waterbury. Le restaurant a été fermé en 1980 et rouvert en 1991 après la restauration totale pour revenir à sa splendeur d'origine. La légende continue, le nouvel établissement restant fidèle à ces souvenirs attachants. Le bar en marbre d'origine, les grandes banquettes en acajou, le plafond en étain et les miroirs gravés à l'acide les plus impressionnants, montrant l'histoire de Waterbury, ont été conservés. L'établissement possède une salle à manger privée pour des réunions d'entreprise ou des événements privés. Le Diorio Restaurant a une nouvelle fois acquis la réputation d'établissement le plus raffiné de Waterbury.
Situé à Plantsville, l'ancien restaurant Old Mill est désormais devenu le New Mill, réputé pour les talents culinaires de son nouveau chef Bob Martucci. Cet ancien moulin à cidre datant de 1737 a été l'un des établissements les plus prisés du Connecticut pendant de nombreuses années, avant d'être entièrement rénové par ses propriétaires, Chris et Michelle Calvanese.
