- RRaymondSouth Carolina •6 reviews5.0Dined todayCharlie's has been consistently good since we started going there some years ago. We went there for our anniversary dinner last night and had a lovely evening. The staff and management were very helpful and the only reason I am not going with 5 stars all the way, is because the desert menu was like all desert menus these days: nothing hot except bread and butter pudding, maybe the creme brûlée. It's so hard these days to find a restaurant that actually makes deserts like Grand Marnier Soufflé's with a creme Anglaise, or crepes suzette or anything that involves any preparation at all and is not served with whipped cream out of a can. Besides that, my wife had very nice Swordfish and I had the breast of duck and we enjoyed them with an unusual Chenin Blanc called Love from the Loire coastal region. The orange mousse in a chocolate cup was as expected and we could have given it a miss.More infoCharlie's Coastal Bistro (L'etoile Verte)Price: Expensive• Seafood• Hilton Head•4.9

- RRobertRaleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill •13 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoOne of the best meals that we have had this week. Coming back for Sunday brunch and Monday night. This is a fairly small restaurant and the area we sat in reminded me of very close tables in NYC restaurants, where you can reach the salt on the next table. Sadly, the woman who sat next to us talked loudly the entire time we were there. But it is what it is. Best bouillabaisse I have ever had! And the Godiva Chocolate soufflé, was heavenly. Our waiter, Spencer, was quite knowledgeable and a great person. Make reservations!More infoLulu KitchenPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Hilton Head•4.7
