Best Canadian Restaurants in Point Grey/UBC

We booked a table last minute for 8 people and the restaurant was very accommodating.Our server Sam was incredibly friendly and engaging,none off us ever felt left out of his conversations and it was great to see other staff help out.I had the Truffle Mushroom and Pork Belly fettuccine,who knew crispy pork belly and fettuccine could work so well together and the addition of arugula at the end was nice touch.It gave the dish some texture and a peppery bite.I will definitely be having more get togethers here.

We tried Wildlight for this first time to host a guest speaker in our department for dinner. We were a party of 8. The table service was attentive and prompt, with excellent attention to guest issues such as allergies and dietary preferences. The food, when it arrived, was delicious: original, creative combinations of ingredients showing excellent technique and good flavour. We all appreciated the highlighting of local ingredients. However, the food was very slow to come out of the kitchen. We arrived around 7:30, and did not receive our main dishes until almost 9:00. The kitchen was obviously backed up, even though it was a weeknight and the restaurant was not full. I would recommend Wildlight for creative cuisine using local ingredients, but be prepared to wait... and wait... and wait.

Really enjoyed the lunch and especially the service

Great service, great food, we enjoyed the broccoli, sweet potato, pizza, pasta, steak, and pot de crème. Everything was excellent.
