In 1835, the Bofarull family founded one of the most charismatic restaurants in the city, Can Bofarull, in the most emblematic part of the Gothic District, near Las Ramblas in Barcelona. Over time, the restaurant was renamed in honour of one of its most famous dishes, Los Caracoles (Snails).     We saw the Paella on a list for best in the city and it absolutely stood up to the hype. If you’re in the Gothic Quarter, this spot is an easy 5 minute walk from the main attractions and it has a great mix between upscale and relaxed ambiance. The paella is incredible and the service is personable. The drinks are authentic and overall we’re relieved we went to this place for paella before leaving Barcelona. Definitely recommend, and I don’t even leave reviews like that

    We are so glad we found this fantastic restaurant nestled in the Gothic Quarter. If you want a creative menu instead of the same tapas you can get anywhere, make this fun spot a must-try in Barcelona.

    We visited this restaurant twice during the stay in Barcelona as we loved the food and the restaurant so much. The atmosphere is lovely. Feels like a real Japanese restaurant. The food is delicious and we tried almost everything on the menu. I can warmly recommend the restaurant!
