Best Lunch Restaurants in Chatswood

Bistro Kai is probably the closest you will come to fine dining in Chatswood without any of the pretentiousness. The decor is comfortable and quite spacious and the service is not intrusive but friendly and helpful. The food is exceptionally good - we tried the octopus which was so very tender and well seasoned, the softest and tastiest sourdough from Cherrymoon Bakery that was toasted and served with a whipped Japanese style butter, the roasted brussel sprouts, the most tender wagyu beef short rib, a delicious chicken maryland with crisp skin and tender meat resting on mashed potato and an amazing abalone gravy (an amazing combo you should try) and their famous cheeseburger which was wonderful as usual. Paired with perfectly balanced creative cocktails, with the Pandan and Ube Irish Coffee and the Chonky Charlie Chaplin a particular standout. Very sad that their iconic tiramisu is not on the menu at the moment but hopefully will see a revival sometime soon! It is not cheap but not the most expensive either - our lunch came to $110pp including 2 alcoholic drinks each and 2 courses. But the food was exceptional and well worth the price. Definitely would recommend!

Service was very good and the all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was very fresh and didn't have to wait a long time for it. Would definitely recommend checking this place and would come here again for sure.

Thank you for an amazing lunch, the service was exceptional and the food to die for. Especially the Prawns and the Toothfish (which is the first time I have ever eaten out and had it cooked perfectly). The Cauliflower Karaage was so beautiful and fresh it blew my socks off. Everything is great once we arrived. However, when I called to say we were running late and that two people were last minute cancellations, the girl who answered the phone was extremely rude to me. "Would be great for more notice next time." Was her response to me. I had just called to be courteous about the time so was not expecting this at all. We ended up having 5 people dining and the somm and service was great. Just a bit disappointed with the calling situation - especially when I was trying to be polite about us running late. Have heard about this same complaint from other professionals. You'll need to let this person (no idea of her name) know, that this type of behavior is unacceptable - especially when someone calls to politely let you know we are running late. Will be back, but would love for this to be taken on board. Cheers.

Great, and very popular, local cafe in Chatswood - pretty much the best cafe in the area. Good food, and very friendly service.
