Really wonderful experience! Great selection of wines, the mid week sharing platter was such a great value and the desert was delicious! Overall really enjoyed the time spent at kindling and would recommend for a mid week meal.

We really enjoyed our meal the food was excellent. The only criticism we have is that I have a shellfish allergy and some of the dishes that we chose we were advised would not be suitable as they were cooked in the same pan as food that cooked shellfish. We were very surprised about that with such an upmarket restaurant. One of the courses we did chose had something that was cooked in a pan that had cooked shellfish and they just left that part of the dish off which was good. We would definitely visit the restaurant again.

Such a beautiful restaurant with friendly staff. The atmosphere was great throughout and you could tell everyone was enjoying themselves. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Thank you for such a great night! We will be back!!

We had a lovely evening at Essence and felt welcomed and at ease from the moment we arrived. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the food and the fact that it was a decent portion size. We shared two starters and two mains with rice. We found the overall price pretty reasonable and will be back to sample more on the menu! Essence is definitely a great asset to Tunbridge Wells!! Thank you for a fun evening!!

Visited the Ivy for my birthday and it didn’t disappoint. The shepherds pie and ginger margarita cocktail was delicious, the ambience was warm and inviting with a fabulous singer adding to the joie de vivre . Service was great and I was treated to a special birthday chocolatey profiterole. Will definitely be returning.
