Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Foster City

I had another wonderful experience at Porterhouse! As always, the service was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to make the evening special. The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. From the warm ambiance to the attentive service, every visit reminds me why Porterhouse is a favorite. I liked a lot for the restaurant. Their customer service was excellent with welcoming smiles and professional manners. A young man and young lady were pleasant. Foods were very delicious and generous portions. Especially onion gratin soup and escargot were excellent ❣️ for appetizers. And main dishes and deserts too 😋 Three of us went there for one’s birthday celebration. Anyway, we had very pleasant evening there.

We are new to the area and we found this restaurant on OpenTable. It was my husband's birthday and I wanted a place that was quiet, great food & wine and service. The Iron Gate far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back. Our waiter, Stamos, was fantastic! His recommendations were spot on. We had escargot to start. It was delicious and perfectly cooked. We then had their signature salad which was prepared table side. I don't think I've ever had a better salad. For our main course, we had the Iron Gate version of lamb (there was also a New Zealand rack option) and the veal parmigiana. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and just phenomenal. For dessert, we had the grand mariner souffle and it was incredible. One of the best things about the restaurant was watching all of the flambe dishes. The servers were just so precise and you could tell they are passionate about giving each diner an experience.

Excellent value for your money. Entertaining Asian fusion dinner.

It’s a very nice place. Good menu. Very good service but I’ve been twice and the place is empty. Today there was only one other table occupied. Maybe a good review will help.
