Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Mercer Island

I consider myself a pretty hard-core "foodie", and Terra Plata is my favorite restaurant for great food, great service, and great vibes in Seattle. Tonight we had a group of 13 for dinner before a show at the Paramount Theater. Our server was attentive and did a perfect job of pacing tje food to get us out the door at the preferred time. I let him choose our courses, and he wisely asked questions around the table about preferences and restrictions before sending out an amazing selection. The food was stellar, as is the norm for Terra Plata. After we finished, I had THREE of my guests come to me to tell me that it was one of the best meals they had ever eaten. Terra Plata really is that good! The Brussels sprouts are a personal favorite and everyone agreed that they were amazing. But there wasn't a single dish that was less than a 5/5 experience. Other highlights were the confit lamb riblets, beef cheek gnocchi, and blistered shishito peppers. If you go to Terra Plata as a group, try ordering family-style so you can taste more options.

Everything about my visit was exceptional- Sergio’s and the entire team’s service, delicious cuisine, even a hand-written “Happy Birthday” message and surprise dessert for my guest. Thank you! I’ll definitely be back.

The view is great and service excellent. Was very disappointed in the upsell of a steak to my husband who does not like Waygu and presets his dine medium. Waiter told him he needs to go to a “luxury “ steak so it would not be dry. Ir arrived bloody rare. Sent it back and it wasn’t returned until I was done with mine. It was now medium rare still way too rare for his liking but apparently the restaurant decides how the steak should be cooked. He didn’t eat it and we left. The dog enjoyed the $100 steak. It was his birthday celebration & he left hungry. Very disappointed. Won’t be back.

Fantastic meal overall. Excellent service . Wish we had ordered more of the specialty sushi .
