I booked this reservation a month ago for my husbands birthday. I have celiac disease so it was important to find a place that was accommodating. They went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience for us all! From the staff signed birthday card to the personalized menu and all staff wishing him happy birthday throughout the meal, the attention to detail was incredible. The food? Oh my goodness! They walked me through the menu and let me know what could be made safe for my needs and provided everyone else the same attention based on what they were craving. Everyone enjoyed their dinner & I had the best gluten free dinner roll from a restaurant ever! Dessert was just as good as dinner if not better! My daughter loved the cookies and cream ice cream and she’s pretty picky. My husband and I shared the espresso brûlée and loved every bite even though we were full before ordering it. You don’t leave something like that behind! Overall, such a great experience! We highly recommend!

Nothing on the night of reservations indicated a Valentines Day set menu so we didn’t get much if a choice.

We had Afternoon Tea for Valentine's Day for $78 per person. Very reasonable prize for Chicago and for the amount and quality of food served. Tea variety on the menu was great. Items on the trays were very good and very filling. Most people cannot finish it all. We were offered tea and food refills which is rare when having afternoon tea anywhere so it was a nice gesture from The Drake Palm Court. Our server Azmir was super friendly and courteous and did a great job. The Palm Court hostess at the entrance was very kind and friendly, sitting us on our desired table, previously requested in the reservation. This place is a Chicago classic and noise level is high since it is always packed. We highly recommend the Palm Court not only for Afternoon Tea but for lively dinners.

The ambience speaks for it's self. We got the privilege to be seated right next to fountain and it was breathtaking. Felt like we were sitting in a Piazza. We started our meal with the burrata appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly crispy, complementing the fresh, high-quality ingredients beautifully. For our entrées, we had the charred ribeye—one of the best steaks I’ve ever had—cooked to perfection with incredible flavor. We also tried the fried chicken sandwich, which was crispy, juicy, and satisfying, paired with creamy mashed potatoes and perfectly seasoned fries. To finish, we indulged in the butterscotch brûlée, which was rich, silky, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The drip coffee and chai tea latte were the perfect pairings, rounding out an exceptional dining experience. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and we loved every bite!

Service was outstanding, especially considering our reservation was at 9pm and the staff was working the dinner service for many hours. Unbelievably service oriented. Food was exceptional, as always. The place was packed, and as a result the decibel level was high. It was expensive, but we really enjoyed being taken care of on the night before Valentine’s Day.
