Steakhouse 85 is a 21st century rendition of the classic American Steakhouse. The menu at Steakhouse 85 is comprised of fresh and inspiring modern day interpretations of classic American cuisine, served alongside the traditional steakhouse classics we all know and love. The back bone of our menu is without a doubt our beef. Our mouth watering dry aged steaks are rubbed with a simple yet luscious combination of sea salt, black pepper and fresh herbs. They are seared on a 1200 degree cast iron grill and then broiled to your liking. Paired with a large classically designed bar, complete with savvy cocktails and a Wine Spectator award winning wine list, this steakhouse is sure to please.Wine Spectator Award of ExcellenceOfficial Steakhouse of Rutgers Athletics

I had not been to this restaurant in several years. The decor has changed-very nice. The menu did have some of the previous items, in addition to some what I would describe as”pub-style” selections. I had the bourbon glazed sucking pig whic was probably the most delicious piece of pork I ever had. My friend enjoyed the halibut immensely. Our dessert, which we shared, was the S’mores item. It was a really different take on this classic. Absolutely delicious and a unique way of serving it in a small iron skillet. Our servers were delightful. Attentive without being intrusive. Very glad I returned to this restaurant. Will be back.

Hello - upon the waiter's description - I went with the Kansas City strip bone in. The steak was terrible - loaded with thick knife proof grizzle. The steak was not meant to leave the kitchen . The scallops were great along with the sides . Very disappointed for my first visit.

The main dining room is just a treasure for those of us who remember it as a place where we did our post office business. Great restoration! The back office transformed into a great bar and lounge - terrific. Great jazz trio music there on occasion. Food is very good. Liked the duck. The downstairs bar is good, but not what the old Triumph brew pub was. Go!
