- KKenVIPLos Angeles •85 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoThe service was excellent; our server, Oscar, was great! We were surprised that it was a special menu (I’ll assume responsibility for not asking the question, but I don’t recall seeing anything on Open Table about a special menu). That was fine (although somewhat disappointing because there was no Bolognese on the menu), but based on the pricing it appeared there was a desire to take advantage of the Valentine’s Day “holiday”. Won’t keep us from coming back, but not the best experience.More infoVigilucci's Trattoria ItalianaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Encinitas•4.7

The ambience is like no other; old school wood, decor and menu with something for everyone. Love that the menu had favorites that were 40 years old. Had the almond crusted seabass that was so tender. The beet salad was perfect—don’t forget to eat the accompanying horseradish dressing. Don’t skip the bread and butter. Wonderful gem in Rancho Santa Fe.More infoMille FleursPrice: Very Expensive• French / American• Rancho Santa Fe•4.8

We had one of the best tables in the house and the chef’s special was a great value for me and my dining partner. - JJayVIPLos Angeles •10 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 8, 2025I love this hotel ! The decor is absolutely beautiful at the Fairmont Grande! The Amaya is in the hotel. We were there on a Friday night. I couldn't believe how uncrowded it was. If you like quiet, uncrowded elegance and delicious food this is a go-to. The Amaya is a beautiful restaurant. My only critique is that the lighting could have been just a little dimmer to enhance the romantic feel of the restaurant. Otherwise I love everything about this hotel. Even the decor in the restroom is a work of art.More infoAmaya at Fairmont Grand Del MarPrice: Very Expensive• French• Carmel Valley•4.1
