- PPaulOxford/Oxfordshire •9 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe visit Quod regularly and after today's meal I question why we hadn't been for a while. First course good although needed to borrow someone else's teeth to crack the croutons. Calves liver superb, could have been a little more pink but so difficult to do in a large restaurant with thin slices, mash, kale and bacon and tasty sauce set the whole meal off. Our waitress who we now know well was as good as ever and at £34.60 a head great value. See you again soon!More infoQuod Restaurant & BarPrice: Expensive• European• Oxford•4.6

- TTraceyOxford/Oxfordshire •1 review4.0Dined on Oct 30, 2024Beautiful setting - afternoon tea in front if an open fire. Staff were extremely courteous and attentive. The free chocolates for the birthday guest was a lovely touch! And there was unlimited tea. The standard scones were deliscious and the clotted cream to die for. Disappointing the jam was in jars not a dish, there was no butter and the birthday girl's gluten free scone was more like a biscuit than a scone - too thin and shattered when split. The cakes were OK but nothing special - carrot cake and chocolate brownies pretty basic, and for £85 for three I was expecting something a bit more special - maybe at least one cream cake. The gf sandwiches were too dry to eat. Overall a lovely afternoon sipping tea in front of the fire, but turned out to be not the best birthday treat for someone who's gluten free.More infoAfternoon Tea @ Holt HotelPrice: Moderate• Afternoon Tea• Bicester•4.6
